A collection of annuals that have largely disappeared from our countryside. These flowers will create a colour explosion! Cornfield annuals can be encouraged to return every year by adding a little more seed and turning the soil over in early spring.
Sowing - Ideally, sow in Spring or Autumn. To ensure good germination, sow in a well raked bed ensuring that the soil is fine and crumbly. Scatter the seed, rake lightly and firm down well. Keep well watered and weeded in early stages.
Maintenance - Cornfield annuals can be encouraged to return every year. Simply cut back and remove dead plants after the seed has fallen. Recultivate the ground the following Spring.
