Feeding:-
 Eats flies, bees, butterflies and other flying insects collected in the air.

Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata)

Length 14 cm

The Spotted Flycatcher is more recognisable by its actions than its looks. It will find a familiar perch then fly in loops catching flies and other insects, returning to its perch..

Nest:-
Built of moss, twigs, grass, held together by cobwebs and lined with hair and feathers, sited against a tree or wall. Will also make use of open fronted nest boxes.
