A woodland bird that visits gardens with large trees where it feeds on insects food in the bark. Can be attracted to bird tables and feeders with peanuts and sunflower seeds.
Feeding:- Insects, their larvae and spiders. Peanuts, sunflower seed, cake and suet.
Nest:- Loose nest of leaves and bark in woodpecker holes and nest boxes, will add mud to holes if too large.
