Meadowsweet Wild Flower Seeds Filipendula ulmaria (LL11)

£1.49

This late summer flowering perennial plant with its fern like foliage and creamy white flowers is a popular coloniser of streams, pond edges and wet meadows. The flowers have a wonderful sweet fragrance and make an ideal base for pot pourri.

Sowing - Sow the seed in a moist, well raked seed bed in Spring or early Autumn. Scatter the seed, rake lightly and firm down well. Keep well watered and weeded. Will grow equally well in sun or semi-shade.

Maintenance - Cut back the plants in late September once the seed has fallen. As a perennial, this plant will flower in year two. In garden situations wildflowers can be treated as normal bedding plants, but they are hardier.
